Verhaal
De wereld is bedekt door een giftige stof genaamd miasma. Iedereen die ermee in aanraking komt kan eraan sterven. Gelukkig hebben de bewoners van deze wereld een manier ontdekt om de miasma op een afstand te houden. Ze gebruiken daarvoor kristallen. Ze gebruiken kleine kristallen voor dorpjes en grote voor steden. Helaas is de kracht van deze kristallen niet oneindig en moeten ze iedere jaar worden gezuiverd. Dit doen ze met behulp van mirre die ze kunnen halen van een mirreboom. Maar mirre is zeer moeilijk om te verkrijgen. Jonge mannen en vrouwen gaan met zogenaamde kristalkaravanen mee om die mirre te vinden. Die ze dan moeten terugbrengen naar hun dorp of stad. De Kristalkaravaan wordt dan weer beschermd door een kelk met daarop een klein kristal. Deze kelk moeten ze 3 keer vullen met een drup van de mirreboom.

To that end, you can create a character from any of the tribes in the full game, and play through the first three dungeons. These are large areas full of dangerous foes and tempting treasures, and they’ll give you ample opportunity to play with the game’s various mechanics, including the enormously satisfying real time combat system.
You’ll also be able to take the game online, which brings us to our next question…
Can I play the Lite Edition with others online?
You can! In fact, we strongly encourage you to - FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition truly excels as a multiplayer adventure and the Lite version offers a commitment-free way to experience this unique gameplay.
Up to four players with the Lite edition can form a caravan and play through the three dungeons together - again at no additional cost (although please note that for PS4 and Switch, you’ll need active subscriptions to their online services to play online).
As with the full version of the game, the Lite edition fully supports crossplay, so Switch owners can play against PS4 users, PS4 users can team up with those on smartphones and so on.
Now, if one of the group owns the full version of the game, things get even more interesting…
Can Lite users play online with owners of the full game?
They can indeed - and they can play beyond the opening three dungeons.
If one player has the full edition of FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition, they can invite anyone with the Lite version to join their caravan. While connected, that party will be able to journey through up to 13 massive dungeons.
In other words, you only need one full version of the game to play online in a party of four. That said, if those with the Lite edition want to continue their adventures offline, they will need to upgrade to the complete game. But rest assured, you can transfer your saved progress to the full game!
